Drawing is kind of a hobby of mine, and I thought that since this is a blog about art, I should post some of my artwork on here. I usually use pencil crayon, pastel, and watercolor for my media. All credit for my experience goes to Carey Lynn who teaches me art every Tuesday. Please comment what you think because I like to hear other people's opinions!

(Above) That is a picture of a tiger in pastel I finished in 2011. I really like drawing tigers for a strange unknown reason, and this one fascinated me because I could never tell if he was yawning or roaring.

(Above) This is a yellow butterfly/moth (can't tell which) that I drew in pastel (again). As you can see from this picture and the previous, I am too lazy to do the backgrounds so I select a couple (or one) color, then I just use that to fill the background. I finished this in 2011. (Hehe like the one above, I did most of my artwork in 2011)

(Above) I also like to draw fantasy creatures especially fairies, witches, pixies, and mermaids. I drew this because I took one look at the complications of the dress and I thought; wow, I want to challenge myself this time. Turns out that a little time, the right lines to guide you, pastels that obey you, and an amazing art teacher can make a difference. I think I've spent the most time on this piece though, because of all the right shades, colors, and lines. Sometimes I accidentally erased a line and had to spent 30 minutes making sure I drew the line back. Examine the wings and the clear drapery over her skirt again, and realize it took me forever to figure out that obstacle. This was also finished in 2011. But I really like this picture because of the illusion I created for her dress. Doesn't it look like the wrinkles in the fabric is real?

(Above) In 2009, my first year of learning art with Carey Lynn, I decided to try classic pencil sketching. Just a plain black and white fox created by a normal pencil. Unfortunately, it didn't go as well as I hoped. Maybe I'm too criticizing, but I think the eyes look too weird, my poor fox sort of looks like it has a beard, and I don't even know what those lines are doing above my fox's eye. In any case, I vowed to lay off sketching until I can convince myself those lines are eyebrows. Do foxes even have eyebrows?

(Above) This squirrel is one of my faveorites, even though the background isn't as good as the foreground, I think I did a good job on the fur. I actually took a lot more time than I thought, finishing it. I started this in 2009 and finished in 2010. This piece was entered in the Saskatoon Wildlife Association Artshow in October 2010 and I won an honorable mention award in the 11 and under division 'cause back then I was 11.

(Above) This a a blue lily I drew and colored in with watercolor. I did this when I was in grade 5, and in the year 2010. This was my first time I tried watercolor, and I think I did okay on it. Again, I left the back ground plain, just because I felt like it. I added the spiky green leaves myself, even though it wasn't in the original.

(Above) I drew this fairy, which, if you look at the other fairy sitting on the moon, is like opposites. Like the other sairy I drew, I created this in 2011. Unlike the fairie sitting on the moon, I used warm colors such as red, orange, and yellow, while the other fairy wears cold colors like blue, purple, and white. I kind of covered up the hands with the pastels I was working with in the background. If you look closely, you can see that her dress, shoes, and wings are autumn leaves.

(Above) I drew this as my second picture when the year was 2009. I was pretty young, and this is a picture of my faveorite book series, W.I.T.C.H. I colored this with pencil crayons (they seemed to much bigger back then), and once again, just left the background plain white. I named this 'The Crown Of Light' because that's what the 11th book was titled, and I based this picture on the 11th book of the series.
